Missions
“Declare his glory among the nations; his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”
~Psalm 96:3
Purpose of Missions at HWC
Missions at Hayward Wesleyan Church challenges us to build relationships across barriers—and outside our comfort zones—to reach others with the Good News of Jesus, both in the U.S. and abroad. Our Missions Fund and Committee help our church take the love of Jesus to the hurting in our community and to the seeking in our world—and to do so strategically.
Our Vision
By the power of the Holy Spirit, we will see lives and communities transformed by God in cultures where people currently have no access to—or concept of—the Good News.
Our Values
Serve Locally
We care deeply about the Hayward area and will devote 20% of our resources to local Christian ministries where our church has opportunities to serve our neighbors and live out our faith.
Reach Globally
We grieve that 4 in 10 people have no access to the Gospel. To bring light where there are no Christians, churches or Bibles, 70% of our resources will go to evangelism, discipleship, and church development in unreached or under-reached nations.

Love Boldly
We want a love for the lost to mobilize our church and raise up new workers. The balance of our budget, 10%, will go toward missions education resources and discretionary grants. (Inquire about applying.)
